Saint Dominic School Students Win Brick Elks Americanism Essay Contest
Congratulations are extended to Caroline Felser, Kayla Ryan, Thomas Schneider, and Anastasia Lenkiewicz, for their efforts in the 2019-2020 Americanism Essay Contest sponsored by the Brick Elks Lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America. Students were asked to author an essay detailing "What Does Freedom of Speech Mean to Me?" Saint Dominic School students rose above the competition, explaining how important democracy is to them, while demonstrating what it takes to be an outstanding citizen, showing appreciation for the rights and freedoms granted to all American citizens.

In Division II (Grades 7 & 8), Caroline Felser placed first, Kayla Ryan placed second, and Thomas Schneider placed third. In Division I (Grades 5 & 6), Anastasia Lenkiewicz placed third. A dinner to award the prizes will be held in March at the Brick Elks Lodge #2151. Our winners are excited to attend the festivities with their families. Saint Dominic School is extremely proud of these students' accomplishments, and we congratulate them on this wonderful honor!
