Meet the Director of Catholic Identity

My faith and my Catholic Education have always been at the forefront of everything I do. My journey in Catholic education began here in the pre-kindergarten at Saint Dominic School After graduating from Saint Dominic, I continued my education at Saint Rose High School in Belmar and Georgian Court University in Lakewood. I have had the opportunity to serve as a religious education teacher, as a youth group leader, and a ministry leader for many years. While completing my undergraduate and masters degrees at Georgian Court University, I was blessed to return to the Saint Dominic family to work in the school’s front office as an administrative assistant and for the parish as the Scheduler of Liturgical Ministries (Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, & Lectors) over the course of the five past years and have served as a Cantor for our parish’s Sacred Music Ministry for nearly elevan years.

It is a true joy and a humble privilege to be a part of the Saint Dominic community in this capacity. It is my hope and sincere prayer that this program will present opportunities that will help lead our school to further glorify our Lord and train up students who will be who God meant them to be and who will set the world ablaze with their Faith!

As a Catholic School, we are called to have pride of place in the education we provide through Christian Doctrine to the gradual formation of conscience of the students. This is something that has been done for many years at Saint Dominic School; however, our school administration team and Fr. Brian Woodrow always strive to see ways in which the school can best service the students in their educational and Faith life and hence, this office of  'Catholic Identity' came to be.

The description of this program can be best represented in the concept that we are all called to grow in virtue and in our relationship with Almighty God.  Here at Saint Dominic School, we are in the ideal setting to lead our students to the strongest foundation of all - that of the love and mercy of our Lord. It is our hope to do so through the means of incorporating the very gifts, truths, practices, and traditions of our faith, which in turn aids in the social growth of the children.
