                                                           Welcome To Third Grade

Dear Third Grader:

Welcome to Third Grade! There are so many new things you will learn as a third grader.
We look forward to a wonderful school year with you as you continue to grow and build
on your skills from last year.
During the summer, you are required to read two books of your choice and practice
math skills on IXL.
The Ocean County Library is one resource that may be used to borrow ebooks. A library
card is needed, but you can apply for one online if you do not already have one. Please
feel free to visit their site at:

The requirement for summer math this year is that students must complete a minimum
of 4 hours of skills practice in IXL. Below is a list of skills to focus on:
